About
Community Commons serves as the entry point for open civic dialogue, idea exploration, and thoughtful discussion related to groundwater stewardship, local land use decisions, and relevant civic developments. Members may share early ideas, questions, relevant articles, local observations, updates on hearings or approvals, and reflections on data and policy concepts. This space is intended for conversation, exploration, and building shared understanding.
Solution Sharing is where ideas with meaningful community support move for structured development and consideration of actionable steps.
Formed Frameworks is where refined concepts are organized for leadership review and potential implementation.
A Community in Action is where members share real-world efforts and progress that support clean, available water and responsible stewardship.
Each stage builds on the last, turning shared understanding into coordinated action across backyard projects, community efforts, and policy.
All participation should remain respectful, relevant, and constructive throughout the process.
Group Rules
1. Stay Relevant
Posts should relate to groundwater stewardship, local land use decisions, environmental responsibility, or civic developments affecting shared resources.
2. Be Constructive
This space is for thoughtful dialogue and idea exploration. Critique ideas, not individuals. Contribute in ways that move understanding forward.
3. Ground Discussion in Facts
When sharing claims, data, or updates (e.g., hearings, approvals, MLUL activity), provide context or sources whenever possible.
4. No Partisan Campaigning
This is a non-partisan civic space. Political endorsements, party-based arguments, or unrelated national politics are not permitted.
5. Respect Privacy and Process
Do not post personal information. Avoid speculation about individuals’ motives. Focus on issues, decisions, and impacts.
6. Drafting Happens Elsewhere
Community Commons is for discussion and idea exploration. Formal policy proposals and framework revisions are submitted through the Solutions section.
7. Civility Is Required
Harassment, inflammatory language, or repeated disruption may result in removal from the group.
